The figure is rendered in a standard provincial divine type common to Phrygian civic coinage. The encircling Greek legend names the city of Philomelium and records the local magistrate Hadrianus as the issuing authority. The overall composition is characteristic of civic bronze issues from the Conventus of Philomelium in Phrygia during the Severan period. |
