The effigy displays the emperor's mature features with a short beard. The encircling Greek legend names the emperor in full imperial titulature, running around the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits the irregular, somewhat thick flan typical of Alexandrian bronze coinage of the late 2nd century CE. |

| Description du revers | An erect uraeus serpent faces right at center, its hood spread, crowned with the solar disk flanked by cow horns — a composite crown combining solar and Hathorian iconography. The uraeus entwines a stalk of grain to one side and a sistrum to the other, emblematic of Egyptian fertility and religious ritual. The design is a distinctly Alexandrian religious type, blending Egyptian and Greco-Roman iconographic traditions. The regnal year date appears in the field, confirming issue in the first and only year of Pertinax's reign. |
