The surrounding Greek legend ΔΙΟϹ ΚΑΤΑΙΕΒΑΤΟΥ ΚΥΡΡΗϹΤ identifies both the deity and the issuing city of Cyrrhus. The reverse field shows the characteristic coarse but expressive engraving style of this Syrian provincial mint, with some flatness of strike at the periphery.
