| 背面描述 | The personification of Moesia Superior stands facing, her head turned to the left, positioned centrally in the field on a ground line. She holds a hare by its hind legs in her lowered right hand and a military standard (vexillum) in her raised left hand, with a bull to her left and a lion to her right — the emblematic animals of the two legions stationed in Moesia. The colonial legend P M S COL VIM (Provinciae Moesiae Superioris Colonia Viminacium) encircles the upper field, while AN IIII, denoting the fourth year of the colony's era, appears in the exergue. |

Viminacium was the legionary fortress of Legio VII Claudia and the administrative capital of Moesia Superior, elevated to colonial status under Gordian III in 239 AD — the AN dating system on these coins counts from that colonial foundation, making AN IIII correspond to the fourth year of the colony's existence. The city's mint operated for roughly three decades before closing, producing one of the most systematically dated provincial bronze sequences known from the Roman world.
