The imperial effigy displays military attire with paludamentum over the cuirass, rendered in the provincial style typical of Ephesian civic coinage of the mid-third century AD. The Greek imperial titulature legend runs around the periphery of the flan. |

She holds in her extended right hand the distinctive cult statue of Artemis Ephesia, the multi-breasted goddess of Ephesus, and in her left hand a cornucopia symbolising abundance. The Greek civic legend is disposed in the field around the figure, identifying the issuing city and the deity depicted. |
