In her right hand she holds a small cult statue of Artemis of Ephesus — the iconic xoanon depicted frontally, wearing a kalathos (cylindrical crown) and flanked by lateral supports — while her left hand bears a cornucopia symbolising abundance. The encircling reverse legend proclaims Ephesus's prestigious status as a thrice-neocorate city, an honorific title reflecting its custodianship of three imperial cult temples. |
