| 背面描述 | A cornucopia, depicted upright with abundant foliage and fruits emerging from its mouth, enclosed within a wreath of laurel or olive branches. The inscription ΟΔΗΣΙΤ (an abbreviated form of ΟΔΗΣΙΤΩΝ, 'of the Odesitans') is partially visible along the left and lower field. The wreath frames the central device and fills the flan, with individual leaves rendered in low relief. The design is characteristic of Moesian civic bronze coinage of the Augustan era, conveying themes of prosperity and abundance. |

Odessos, the Greek colony on the Black Sea coast of modern Bulgaria, maintained a tradition of civic bronze coinage well into the imperial period — issuing in its own name long after many neighboring cities had subordinated their mints entirely to Roman iconographic demands. The magistrate's name, where present on these bronzes, often provides the only surviving record of local administrative figures otherwise absent from the literary or epigraphic record.
