Reverse description Athena, helmeted and clad in aegis, strides purposefully to the right in a dynamic martial pose. Her left arm bears a large round shield while her raised right arm brandishes a spear poised to thrust. The goddess is rendered in the vigorous style typical of Koinon Thessaly bronze issues, evoking the region's deep association with Athena as a protector deity. The encircling legend identifies the issuing authority, with the workshop letter Δ (fourth officina) appearing in the field. The coin surface is heavily worn and patinated, with the design discernible in relief against the dark green-brown patina.
