| Descripción del reverso | Asclepius, the god of medicine, depicted standing in three-quarter view facing left, clad in a himation draped over the lower body, his right arm extended and resting upon the knotted serpent-entwined staff (the caduceus of Asclepius). The figure occupies the central field of the flan, with the encircling ethnic legend of the issuing city distributed around the periphery. The reverse type reflects the strong association of the city of Hermocapelia with healing cults, a common iconographic choice among Lydian civic bronzes of the Imperial period. |
