| Obverse description | Bare-headed, laureate bust of Volusian facing right, with slight drapery visible on the left shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the provincial Greek style typical of Lydian civic coinage of the mid-third century AD. The circular legend surrounds the portrait in Greek majuscule characters, partially legible due to striking irregularities. The portrait exhibits the characteristic square-jawed features associated with Volusian's numismatic typology, with the laurel wreath rendered in low relief. |

The figure occupies the central field of the flan, with the encircling ethnic legend of the issuing city distributed around the periphery. The reverse type reflects the strong association of the city of Hermocapelia with healing cults, a common iconographic choice among Lydian civic bronzes of the Imperial period. |
