| Beschrijving voorzijde | Radiate and draped bust of Traianus Decius facing right, the emperor portrayed with his characteristic features in the provincial Greek style. The effigy is rendered with a radiate crown above the head, with drapery visible at the shoulder. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ Κ ΜΕΣ ΤΡΑΙ ΔΕΚΙΟΣ ΑΥ (Imperator Caesar Messius Traianus Decius Augustus), partially legible around the periphery of the flan. The coin exhibits a dark olive-green patina with areas of red-brown earthen deposits consistent with prolonged burial. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse depicts the deified Trojan hero Hector on horseback, shown in a dynamic prancing pose moving to the left, with the rider's head turned and wearing a helmet, consistent with his heroic martial iconography as venerated at Ilium. The design reflects the strong local civic pride of Ilium in honoring its legendary Trojan ancestor as a god (ΘΕΟΣ). The Greek legend ΙΛΙΕΩΝ ΘΕΟΣ ΕΚΤΩΡ, meaning 'Hector, god of the Ilieans', appears in the lower field and exergue area, partly within a rectangular tablet.
