Obverse description Bare head of Drusus Caesar facing right, rendered in the portrait convention of the early Julio-Claudian period. The effigy displays naturalistic facial features with a smooth, unadorned head and a short neck truncation. The Latin legend DRVSO CAESARI runs around the field, identifying the honoree. The portrait style reflects the Roman provincial die-cutting tradition adapted for a colony issuing civic bronzes in honor of the imperial family.
