The composition is a direct allusion to the Roman foundation myth and reflects Parium's status as a Roman colony. The legend C G I H PARI, identifying the colony, is distributed around the type in the field. The relief is worn but the essential elements of the she-wolf, twins, and colonial legend remain legible.
