| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Marcus Aurelius with short beard facing right, depicted in the Roman provincial style. The portrait shows the emperor in his youth as co-ruler under Antoninus Pius, with naturalistic facial features characteristic of Antonine-period die engraving. The Greek legend Μ ΑΙΛ ΑΥΡΗΛΙΟϹ encircles the bust, rendered with alphas bearing curved crossbars.
