Amorium, a Phrygian city of modest regional standing, issued bronze coinage under local magistrates whose names survive almost nowhere else in the epigraphic record. Antonios Longes, named in the legend, served as the civic magistrate overseeing this issue — one of the few surviving attestations of his office. Such provincial bronzes from the Conventus of Synnada were struck entirely for local exchange, never circulating beyond a tight regional radius.
