The deity holds his characteristic attribute, a knotted serpent staff (the Rod of Asclepius), in his right hand, with the serpent coiled about it. The figure is rendered in the conventional Hellenistic manner typical of provincial Phrygian bronzes of the Severan era. The ethnic legend of the issuing city encircles the reverse field. |
