The syncretic Egyptian deity is depicted wearing the modius (kalathos) on his head, in accordance with standard Hellenistic iconographic convention. The circular Greek legend naming the magistrate Flavius Priscus and the city of the Acmoneans surrounds the type. |

Acmonea was a minor Phrygian city whose civic coinage under Septimius Severus named the local magistrate Flavius Priscus as grammateus — a civic secretary whose office carried enough prestige to appear on the die. Provincial bronze of this weight from interior Anatolia circulated hyperlocally; it is unlikely this piece ever traveled more than a few days' journey from the mint city.
