The portrait reflects early Commodan iconography consistent with his co-regency period under Marcus Aurelius. A beaded border frames the obverse field. The legend encircles the bust, rendered in Latin with the notable sic error CAI for CAE and the distinctive lambda-shaped L. |

The abbreviated civic legend C G I H PAR, identifying the colony of Parium, is divided in the field to left and right of the deity. A beaded border surrounds the reverse design. |
