Obverse description Bare-headed, lightly bearded bust of Commodus, draped in cuirass and paludamentum, facing right and seen from the rear, presenting a three-quarter back view characteristic of provincial die-cutting workshops. The portrait reflects early Commodan iconography consistent with his co-regency period under Marcus Aurelius. A beaded border frames the obverse field. The legend encircles the bust, rendered in Latin with the notable sic error CAI for CAE and the distinctive lambda-shaped L.

Reverse description Standing figure of Ceres (Demeter) advancing to the right, clad in long draped chiton and himation, holding a lighted torch in each raised hand, emblematic of her search for Persephone. The figure is rendered in the provincial Mysian style with flowing drapery visible about the lower body. The abbreviated civic legend C G I H PAR, identifying the colony of Parium, is divided in the field to left and right of the deity. A beaded border surrounds the reverse design.
