The god extends his right arm forward over Cerberus, the three-headed guardian of the underworld, who crouches at his feet to the left. In his left hand, Sarapis holds a long sceptre. The reverse legend naming the strategos Quartus, in his second term of office, and the city of Pergamum is distributed around the field. |
