| Obverse description | Bare head of Augustus facing right, portrayed in the idealized manner characteristic of provincial Greek civic coinage. The effigy is rendered in moderate relief, with finely articulated facial features, and occupies the majority of the flan. The encircling Greek legend ΚΤΙϹΜΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΟΥ — meaning 'Foundation of Augustus' — runs around the periphery, referencing the city's founding by the first emperor following the Battle of Actium in 31 BC. The coin surface shows an olive-green patina with areas of encrustation consistent with extended burial. |

| Reverse description | A bull standing to the right, rendered in profile with alert posture, tail raised, occupying the central field of the flan. The type alludes to the sacrificial and agricultural symbolism commonly associated with Roman colonial foundation rites. The ethnic legend ΝΙΚΟΠΟΛΙϹ — the city name in the nominative — is disposed around the periphery of the reverse field. The relief is moderately worn, consistent with circulation use, and the flan edges are irregular as typical of provincially struck hammered bronzes of the Trajanic period. |
