The horses are depicted in dynamic motion, with the charioteer leaning forward. The ethnic legend ΝΕΙΚΟΠΟΛΕωϹ is disposed around the design in the field, identifying the issuing city. The overall style is consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Trajanic period from northwestern Greece. |
