| Obverse description | Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the provincial style typical of Epirote coinage. The portrait displays the characteristic features of Trajanic imperial iconography, with a laurel wreath crowning the head. A partial Greek legend surrounds the bust in the field, reading [ ]ΙϹΑΡ ΤΡΑΙΑΝΟϹ, identifying the emperor. The flan is irregular, as is common with hammered provincial bronze issues of this period. |

| Reverse description | Nike, the goddess of victory, driving a biga (two-horse chariot) at full gallop to the right, a typical motif on coins of Nicopolis commemorating the Actian Games founded by Augustus. The horses are depicted in dynamic motion, with the charioteer leaning forward. The ethnic legend ΝΕΙΚΟΠΟΛΕωϹ is disposed around the design in the field, identifying the issuing city. The overall style is consistent with provincial bronze coinage of the Trajanic period from northwestern Greece. |
