| 正面描述 | Laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder, rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style. The portrait displays the characteristic short beard and idealized facial features associated with Hadrianic coinage. A Greek legend encircles the effigy, divided on either side of the bust across the field. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze coinage of the period. |

| 背面描述 | A dolphin coiled around an anchor, depicted in the Alexandrian numismatic tradition evoking maritime symbolism. The anchor is shown vertically centered in the field with the dolphin entwined around its shaft, its tail curving upward at the base. The regnal date legend L ΔΕ (year 14, corresponding to 129-130 CE in the Alexandrian calendar) appears flanking the device, with L to the left and ΔΕ to the right. The reverse field is compact and slightly worn, typical of circulated provincial bronzes of this denomination. |

Regnal year 10 of Hadrian's reign, which is what the "L ΔΕ" date formula indicates — the Egyptian provincial dating system expressing the tenth year. Alexandria's mint operated under strict Roman administrative oversight but retained its own dating conventions, a holdover from Ptolemaic practice that Rome never bothered to suppress. Hadrian visited Egypt in 130 AD, several years after this piece was struck, and his interest in Egyptian culture ran deeper than any other emperor of the period.
