| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder, rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style. The portrait displays the characteristic short beard and idealized facial features associated with Hadrianic coinage. A Greek legend encircles the effigy, divided on either side of the bust across the field. The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with hand-struck provincial bronze coinage of the period. |
