| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate, draped bust of Emperor Elagabalus facing right, the head encircled by a radiate laurel wreath rendered in the provincial style. The effigy is surrounded by a Greek imperial titulature legend distributed around the field. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical provincial die workmanship with somewhat coarse engraving characteristic of the Carrhae mint. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central type depicting a large eight-rayed star set within a filleted crescent, the crescent resting upon a conical sacred stone (baetyl) mounted on a stepped or moulded base, a well-known religious symbol of the lunar deity Sin venerated at Carrhae. The legend ΚΑΡ appears in the field flanking the central device, and the composition is enclosed within a dotted border. The type alludes directly to the principal cult of the city. |
