The imperial effigy is depicted with characteristic facial features of the Antonine dynasty, including a short beard and softly modelled hair. The encircling Greek legend partially frames the portrait in the field. The flan is irregular and the strike slightly off-centre, consistent with provincial hammered coinage of the mid-second century AD. |
