| Obverse description | The obverse bears the Shi'ite Kalima (profession of faith) rendered in bold Nasta'liq calligraphy across the field, divided into three horizontal registers by ruled lines. The legend proclaims the Islamic declaration of faith together with the names of the Prophet Muhammad and the Imam Ali. The script fills the flan to its edges, with individual words densely interlocked in the characteristic hammered Afsharid style. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border following the irregular circumference of the flan. |
