Rohrhofer in the lower left corner, presents a winter landscape with a bare deciduous tree in the foreground and the village of Maria Laach am Jauerling with its church tower set against a hillside background. Below the vignette, the denomination numeral 80 is printed in large bold type within a decorative surround, flanked by the abbreviated value 80h at each lower corner and the word HELLER centred beneath. Serie. introduces the central text block in large blackletter type reading Jauerlinger Notgeld der Gemeinde Maria Laach am Jauerling über 80 Heller. Validity and redemption conditions are stated beneath in Roman type, specifying that the note is valid until 31 December 1920 and redeemable between 16 and 31 December 1920 at the municipal cashier's office upon personal presentation. A faint underprint watermark pattern is visible in the background. |
