The left and right columns carry a promotional text in German extolling the natural and tourist virtues of Hinterbrühl near Vienna. Hinterbrühl is a small spa village south of Vienna, better known in numismatic circles for its Gutscheine than for anything else — these municipal emergency notes were issued under Austria's postwar Notgeld scheme, which allowed thousands of local authorities to print fractional currency when federal coin circulation collapsed after 1918. The 80 Heller denomination is an odd value, deliberately chosen to complement rather than duplicate the more common 10, 20, and 50 Heller issues circulating simultaneously.
Wehhofers Erben in nearby Mödling was a small regional press; their involvement kept production local and costs minimal, which was the entire point of the scheme.
