Obverse description The obverse is printed in blue and black with a fine guilloche underprint. At upper centre, the bank title 'El Banco de Lima' is rendered in large ornate lettering, with the denomination 'OCHO SOLES' in a central panel below. A large circular red wax-style seal vignette occupies the centre field. To the lower left, an oval vignette presents a classical allegorical group of three female figures with a child, and to the lower right, a second oval vignette shows a reclining allegorical figure. The numeral '8' appears in each upper corner, with serial numbers printed in red.

Reverse description The reverse is printed entirely in blue with a dense, intricate guilloche pattern of repeating circular rosette motifs covering the full field. A large central oval medallion, formed by a lighter guilloche reserve, bears the inscription 'EL BANCO DE LIMA' encircling the abbreviated text within. The bold numeral '8' appears in the left and right margins within the guilloche framework.
