| Obverse description | Enthroned frontal effigy of King Frederik I, crowned and robed, occupying the central field. The king is depicted holding a sceptre in his right hand and an orb surmounted by a cross in his left, seated upon a throne with stylised gothic architectural elements visible at the base. A composite heraldic shield bearing the arms of Denmark and Norway is displayed across the king's body. The surrounding legend in uncial Latin reads FREDERICVS·D:G·REX·DA·ZИ, identifying the issuer as Frederik I, by the grace of God King of Denmark and Norway, separated by pellet stops and enclosed within a beaded inner circle. |
