An upper circular countermark depicts a sunburst or radiate device, while a lower, larger oval countermark contains an equestrian figure, believed to represent a mounted horseman, set within a raised oval frame. The host coin's original reverse design, consistent with Spanish colonial macuquina types, is largely obscured by the irregular planchet surface and the prominent applied countermarks. |
