Fragmentary traces of the surrounding legend and cross pattern are visible at the flan edges, though largely lost due to the irregular striking and clipping. The overall fabric is consistent with a colonial Spanish-American 8 Reales macuquina host coin subsequently countermarked for circulation in Guatemala. |
