| 正面描述 | The obverse displays three applied countermarks over the host coin's original design: a Type A Morelos monogram countermark consisting of an ornate cipher enclosed within an oval border and flanked by stars; a Type A Chilpanzingo countermark depicting an arm grasping a bow; and a ZMY countermark. The underlying host coin retains partial elements of the laureate bust of Ferdinand VII and the surrounding Latin legend, typical of the 1809 Mexico City mint issue. The countermarks were applied by insurgent forces during the Mexican War of Independence to authorize the coin's continued circulation. |

| 背面描述 | The reverse retains the original design of the host Spanish colonial 8 Reales, featuring the crowned royal arms of Castile and León flanked by the Pillars of Hercules with the PLUS VLTRA scrolls, all within a partial circular Latin legend. The strike of the countermarks has caused some distortion to the underlying design, and wear from circulation has further softened the original relief. The mint mark, assayer initials, and denomination indicators remain partially visible in the field. |
