A Philippine countermark — comprising a crowned oval cartouche bearing the cypher Y•II• (for Isabel II) — is applied to the lower left of the bust, over the truncation area. The coin's milled border is well defined, and the overall field retains the characteristics of a fully struck Zacatecas milled issue. |
