| Popis líce | The obverse of the Bolivian host coin depicts a uniformed bust of Simón Bolívar facing right, his name inscribed on a tablet at the base of the truncation reading BOLIVAR. The surrounding legend reads LIBRE POR LA CONSTITUCION. Centrally applied over the bust is the Philippine countermark: an oval indent bearing a crown surmounting the royal cipher F·7·O (for Fernando VII), struck by authority of the Spanish colonial administration in Manila to validate the coin for local circulation. The countermark is clearly defined within a raised oval border, and the overall field of the coin shows characteristic wear and adjustment marks consistent with circulated silver coinage of this period. |
