The field is smooth and unadorned. A circular Philippine countermark — applied during the reign of Isabella II between 1834 and 1837 — is struck over the lower portion of the bust, partially obscuring the neck and truncation. The peripheral legend reads AUGUSTINUS • DEI • PROVIDENTIA •, with the mint mark Mo and the date 1822 positioned in the lower segment of the coin. |
