Reverse description The crowned quartered arms of the Spanish monarchy occupy the central field, displaying the castles of Castile and the lions of León in the principal quarters, with the granada (pomegranate) at the base and the Bourbon fleur-de-lis inescutcheon at the center. The royal shield is encircled by the collar and badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece, rendered as an elaborate decorative chain of fire steels and flints. A large ornate royal crown surmounts the shield. The circumferential legend IN UTROQ FELIX AUSPICE DEO runs around the periphery, with the Lima mint mark LM and assayer initials JM appearing in the lower field below the Order's collar.
