Reverse description Central device features a bold cross of Jerusalem with splayed, stepped terminals, set within a decorative quatrefoil formed by the interlaced crowned Cs monogram of Carlos II, with small floral rosettes ornament filling the quadrants of the cross. The surrounding circular Latin legend, separated by rosette stops, reads HISPANIARUM REX with the date 1699 positioned prominently at the top of the field. The entire design is enclosed within a milled border of fine beading.
