| Beschrijving keerzijde | Forepart of a stag advancing to the right, with prominent antlers rising above the head and rendered in fine relief. The Greek civic legend AMYZONEΩΝ is distributed in the field around the device, identifying the issuing city of Amyzon in Caria. The design is characteristic of the local bronze coinage referencing Artemis's sacred animal. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Amyzon was a minor Carian hill town whose sanctuary of Artemis gave it far more regional significance than its political weight would suggest. The site's coin production was sporadic and tied closely to sanctuary activity rather than civic commerce, which explains the extreme smallness of this issue — a fractional bronze intended for votive or market use within the sanctuary precinct itself.
SNG von Aulock 8054 is documented from a single known specimen in that collection.
