| Reverse description | A dynamic depiction of a downhill skier in a tucked racing position dominates the central field, rendered in high relief with fine detail showing the competitor's helmet, skin-suit, and ski poles. To the upper right, the Lillehammer 1994 Winter Olympics emblem appears in a rectangular cartouche. The dates 84-94 are inscribed in the right field, evoking both the 1984 Sarajevo and 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics. The circular legend XVII ZIMSKE OLIMPIJSKE IGRE arcs along the upper periphery, while SARAJEVO and LILLEHAMMER flank the lower field separated by decorative ornaments, with the denomination D750 inscribed at the base. |

Bosnia and Herzegovina issued this coin in 1993 while the country was actively at war — the siege of Sarajevo had been underway for over a year, and the Bosnian state controlled little functional territory. The timing against the Lillehammer Winter Olympics is striking given that Sarajevo had itself hosted the 1984 Winter Games, with the venues on Bjelašnica and Jahorina then serving as active front lines.
