背面描述 The reverse is printed in blue, ochre, and black, centred on a circular medallion with a bold silhouette portrait in left profile of Frederick the Great in a tricorne hat, set against a white roundel within a blue field. To the left and right stand full-length vignettes of 18th-century Prussian soldiers — a drummer to the left and a standard-bearer to the right — rendered in fine black line illustration on an ochre ground. The lower section carries the denomination in Fraktur script in two grey panels flanking a central text box with the redemption conditions.

备注

Striegau, now Strzegów in southwestern Poland, was a minor Silesian textile town when it issued this note during the Weimar notgeld period. The Stadtbank — a municipal rather than Reichsbank-affiliated institution — was one of hundreds of local bodies authorized to plug the coin shortage that had gutted retail commerce by 1921. F. A. Brockhaus in Leipzig, far better known as a publisher of encyclopedias and reference works, took on considerable notgeld printing contracts during this period as a commercial sideline.

Bruno Handke designed several Silesian notgeld issues. Striegau's granite quarrying industry, which dominated the regional economy, likely informed whatever imagery Handke supplied to Brockhaus's press.
