The left and right panels carry woodcut-style vignettes of industrial Ruhr mining structures — a winding tower and pit-head buildings rendered in fine black line work. The central panel bears a diamond-patterned underprint with the names of surrounding district communities arranged around a central cartouche inscribed LANDKREIS / BOCHUM in Gothic lettering, within which the denomination 75 Pfg. appears in red on a black ground. Below the central device, a Gothic-script text panel states the redemption conditions and bears the issuing authority line Der Kreis-Ausschuss des Landkreises Bochum, dated Bochum, 1. November 1921, with a serial number in green below and the printer's imprint F.A. GIMMERTHAL, LANGENDREER at lower right. |
