备注

Freiberg's silver-mining history stretches back to the twelfth century, and the city's decision to issue its own emergency currency in 1921 came at the height of Germany's post-war inflation spiral, when small-denomination coinage had all but vanished from circulation. This is Notgeld in its most functional sense — a stopgap against monetary paralysis, not a commemorative novelty.

Ernst Lange was a local Freiberg printer, which is relatively uncommon for Notgeld of this period; many municipalities farmed out production to larger Leipzig or Dresden firms. Local printing introduced minor plate variations across the series, which accounts for the lettered suffix distinctions within the L#365c group.
