| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into two registers separated by a ruled border. The upper register carries the denomination numeral '75' in hatched block figures at each corner, with the central inscription 'Notgeld von Stecklenberg im Harz' in gothic Fraktur script, below which the validity clause 'Gültig bis zum Aufruf. Sept. 1921' appears at left and the authorising legend 'Der Gemeindevorsteher:' at right, accompanied by a facsimile signature. The lower register presents a silhouette vignette of ruined castle walls amid bare trees, flanked by two heraldic shields: at left the arms of Holem and at right those of Arneburg a. Woleke. |
