Poetic quotations in German script occupy the left and right fields, and a ribbon scroll below the portrait bears the legend 'Otto Ludwig, geb. d. 12. Febr. 1813 in Eisfeld.' A second scroll at the foot carries a further verse inscription, with the designer's signature 'H. Blechschmidt' at lower right; denomination '75' appears in each corner. |
