Beschrijving voorzijde Warm beige note with a bold Expressionist-style typographic layout printed in dark brown and red. The denomination '75' appears in stylised blackletter numerals at upper left and upper right, with the word 'Pfennig' in large red script across the upper centre, underlined by a red cross-bar. The centre carries the issuer legend 'STADT BREMEN' in bold sans-serif capitals, flanked by two columns of text: on the left, the redemption conditions in German blackletter, and on the right, the date of issue 'Bremen, den 15. September 1921' with the attribution 'Die Finanzdeputation'. A serial number in prefix-letter format appears at lower left alongside a red circular official seal of the Finanzdeputation Bremen, accompanied by two manuscript facsimile signatures. The printer imprint 'Druck: C. A. Nicolaus, Bremen' is printed at lower right.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse carries a richly detailed engraved vignette of the historic Bremen waterfront, the so-called 'Grosse Weserbrücke', with tall-masted sailing vessels on the Weser River in the foreground and the city's characteristic gabled buildings and a lighthouse visible along the quay. At upper centre, the arms of the Freie Hansestadt Bremen — a red oval shield bearing the Bremen key surmounted by a crown and encircled by the legend 'FREIE HANSESTADT BREMEN' — form the centrepiece of the decorative header, flanked by scrollwork and diamond-shaped '75' denomination panels in red at upper left and right. A ribbon below the coat of arms bears the date '1 9 2 1' with crossed anchors, and the artist's name 'RUSCHE' is engraved at lower right of the vignette. The lower border panel carries the Low German motto 'BUTEN UN BINNEN WAGEN UN WINNEN' in bold letterpress.

Opmerkingen

Bremen's Finanzdeputation issued this note during the acute small-change shortage that plagued German cities in the early 1920s, when hoarding of metal coinage had left municipal authorities scrambling to fill the gap with locally produced Kleingeldersatz. The city handled its own solution rather than relying on a distant commercial printer — C. A. Nicolaus was a Bremen firm, keeping both the contract and the paper local.

The engraver credit to Rusche is worth noting: relatively few Notgeld issues from this period carry a named engraver at all, which suggests the Finanzdeputation considered the presentation worth the extra formality.
