| 裏面の説明 | The reverse carries a richly detailed engraved vignette of the historic Bremen waterfront, the so-called 'Grosse Weserbrücke', with tall-masted sailing vessels on the Weser River in the foreground and the city's characteristic gabled buildings and a lighthouse visible along the quay. At upper centre, the arms of the Freie Hansestadt Bremen — a red oval shield bearing the Bremen key surmounted by a crown and encircled by the legend 'FREIE HANSESTADT BREMEN' — form the centrepiece of the decorative header, flanked by scrollwork and diamond-shaped '75' denomination panels in red at upper left and right. A ribbon below the coat of arms bears the date '1 9 2 1' with crossed anchors, and the artist's name 'RUSCHE' is engraved at lower right of the vignette. The lower border panel carries the Low German motto 'BUTEN UN BINNEN WAGEN UN WINNEN' in bold letterpress. |

Bremen's Finanzdeputation issued this note during the acute small-change shortage that plagued German cities in the early 1920s, when hoarding of metal coinage had left municipal authorities scrambling to fill the gap with locally produced Kleingeldersatz. The city handled its own solution rather than relying on a distant commercial printer — C. A. Nicolaus was a Bremen firm, keeping both the contract and the paper local.
The engraver credit to Rusche is worth noting: relatively few Notgeld issues from this period carry a named engraver at all, which suggests the Finanzdeputation considered the presentation worth the extra formality.
