| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is dominated by a central vignette of a medieval tower rising from a stylized landscape, with radiating sunburst lines fanning outward and the names of villages within the Diepholz district inscribed along each ray. The denomination numeral '75' appears in the upper corners within decorative panels, and the Gothic-script heading 'Gutschein für den Kreis Diepholz' arches across the top. A serial number, issue date of 28 September 1921, and two manuscript signatures — Vorsitzender Lohaus and Direktor Braunskaup — appear in the lower register alongside the issuer name 'Kreissparkasse Diepholz'. |

Kreissparkasse Diepholz was one of hundreds of German district savings banks that issued Notgeld during the hyperinflationary spiral of the early 1920s, when small-denomination coinage had effectively vanished from circulation. The 75 Pfennig denomination is specific to this crisis window — an odd value that would have made no sense outside of it.
Casten & Suhling were a Bremen commercial printer, not a specialist security firm. Their involvement here reflects how desperate and decentralized emergency currency production had become by 1921.
